NCEA Hawera is a youth programme for 16 to 19 year olds (or 15 year olds, with an exemption certificate) The programme is delivered in a holistic environment where learner’s life goals and abilities are nurtured around individually agreed learning plans with a focus on developing computing and employability skills while also completing NCEA Levels 1 and/or 2.
The primary aim of the programme is to prepare learners for higher levels of learning (e.g. apprenticeships, vocational training, university etc).
Learners will gain good foundations for furthering themselves in both education and the workforce.
